Please join us on Thursday, May 11th as MAS hosts our annual Developers Panel with four regional developers who are actively working on projects in the Spokane/Coeur d’Alene area. The panelists will dive into the markets they are currently pursuing, update attendees on their upcoming projects beyond 2017 and where they see the Spokane development market going in the next 3-5 years. Our panelists will be joined by Mark Aden, President at DCI Engineers, who will moderate this exciting program. We look forward to having you and hearing from the following local panelists:

  • Tim Stulc, President, Vandervert Construction

Bryn West, General Manager, River Park Square:

Bryn West was promoted General Manager of River Park Square in 2011.  She is responsible for the Shopping Center, the RPS garage, the W.809 building, and the M building - opening in 2018.  Her duties touch upon all aspects of the properties, including: operations, marketing, finance, and leasing.   Bryn is the first woman in River Park Square’s history to manage the properties.  During her time as GM, she has brought a host of significant national retailers to Spokane, including: Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, Free People and Athleta. In the coming years, through the many contacts and relationships she has created from the ICSC with national retail merchants, Bryn plans to add more experiential elements in order to keep the shopping/dining/entertainment sector of downtown relevant and thriving.     

Guy Byrd, Managing Director, SVN Cornerstone:

Guy D. Byrd is the Managing Director of SVN Cornerstone in Spokane Washington. He grew up in the Spokane area and graduated from Montana State University. He is a native to the Northwest where he has spent his entire Real Estate career. With a focus on Commercial Retail sales, leasing and development, he began his Commercial Real Estate career in 1985 and continues to be an active broker and leader for SVN Cornerstone and throughout the region's Commercial Real Estate community. His company SVN Cornerstone office serves clients throughout the Inland Empire and across the country from their home base in Spokane Washington. SVN, Inc. has a National and International presence and reach.

Tim Stulc, President, Vandervert Construction:

Tim Stulc has spent his entire career in the commercial construction industry, bringing comprehensive perspective and deep understanding of all aspects of the construction process to his role as owner and president of Vandervert Construction. Through hands-on leadership he directs the company’s strategic vision, focus on exceeding client expectations, and commitment to quality, integrity, and efficiency. He actively volunteers and supports multiple organizations to make a positive community impact. Currently, he is a Spokane Guild School Board Member, holding the position of Assistant Treasurer and sits on Gonzaga University School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Executive Advisory Council. He joined Vandervert in 1993 and became a 2nd generation owner in 2011 when he purchased the construction arm of the company. He graduated from Montana State University in 1985 with a Bachelors of Science in Construction Engineering Technology. 


Dave Black, CEO and Principal of NAI Black, a full service commercial real estate company in Spokane, Washington formed in 1958, consisting of retail, office, industrial, investment and corporate services divisions; property management and consulting. Black has been a commercial and residential developer for 35 years and manages in excess of 50 LLCs owning over $450 million in real estate.  He is a proud father of two sons.
